Itinerary
Day 1
Trier

Fly from your selected airport in the UK to Paris, where you will be met and taken by coach to your luxurious river ship, which will be moored on the Moselle River in Trier. After boarding the ship, settle into your suite and perhaps familiarise yourself with the ship's facilities. This evening, attend a Welcome Reception before the Captain's Gala Welcome Dinner, the first of many delicious meals in the ship's restaurant. (D)

Day 2
Bernkastel - Zell

This morning after breakfast, your ship will arrive in the pretty town of Bernkastel. Strategically located in the middle of the Moselle wine-producing region, Bernkastel boasts over 500 years of documented wine history. Disembark here, and enjoy a leisurely guided walk through the lovely old town centre with its medieval and Renaissance buildings. Afterwards, re-board your ship, which continues cruising towards Zell, famous for its 'Zeller Schwarze Katz' wine. (B,L,D)

Day 3
Cochem - Koblenz - Rüdesheim

This morning on arrival in Cochem, you have the unique opportunity to choose from two different, but equally engaging touring options. Perhaps take a tour of majestic Reichsburg Castle, which offers fascinating views of the river valley below, then drive to Koblenz. Alternatively, you might prefer to remain on board and cruise to Koblenz, which is situated at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers. On arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour of the city. During lunch, both groups will then enjoy a cruise along the most beautiful and famous part of the Rhine, seeing castle after castle and the legendary Lorelei Rock. Arrive in Rüdesheim and visit Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. In the evening, explore the Drosselgasse, a narrow alley lined with wine taverns and restaurants. The ship moors overnights in Rüdesheim. (B,L,D)

Day 4
Mainz/Heidelberg - Frankfurt

Again today, choose from two excursions. Perhaps take a walking tour of Mainz and see Gutenberg Museum, home of the world's first printed bible, then travel to Frankfurt by bus for a tour of the historic 'Römer' centre. Or travel by coach to Heidelberg, Germany's oldest university town, where you will visit the red-walled castle, enjoy views of the Neckar Valley below and see the Great Vat, a 49,000 gallon, 18th century wine cask. Then return to Frankfurt, where both groups will enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. The ship moors overnigh in Frankfurt. (B,L,D)

Day 5
Wertheim, Miltenberg

Still in Germany, arrive in Wertheim and travel by coach to Miltenberg for a tour of this lovely Franconian town, revealing narrow cobblestone streets and gabled, half-timbered houses. Then return to Wertheim, known for its glassworks, Franconian wine and friendly people. Enjoy some free time, then re-board the ship and continue cruising through the valleys of the Main. (B,L,D)

Day 6
Würzburg

Arrive this morning in Würzburg, surrounded by green sloping hills covered with vineyards. During a tour here today see all major sights, including the impressive Residential Palace. This afternoon enjoy some time at leisure or take an optional excursion to medieval Rothenburg, a beautiful walled town on the Romantic Road (own expense). (B,L,D)

Day 7
Bamberg

Relax on board this morning then, after breakfast, disembark and travel by coach to World Heritage-listed Bamberg, one of the few cities in Germany that wasn't destroyed by bombs during World War 2. Here, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the city, before returning to ship. At this point, your ship enters the Main-Danube Canal. Tonight, enjoy a delicious Farewell Dinner on board as your ship continues cruising towards Nuremberg, the capital of Franconian and the final destination of your cruise. (B,L,D)

Day 8
Nuremberg

This morning after breakfast, your tour concludes as you disembark the ship and transfer to the airport in Nuremberg for your return flight to the UK. (B)
