Still in Germany this morning, arrive in Miltenberg and travel by coach to Wertheim, the epitome of a medieval German village. Today arrive in Rüdesheim, a great example of a Rhine Valley wine town. Here, the Winzerexpress mini-train will take you to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum for a tour. Later, re-board your ship and cruise through the Rhine Gorge on what is perhaps the most beautiful stretch of the Rhine. Take in views of steep slopes covered in vineyards and dotted with ancient castles. Cruise past the villages of St Goarshausen, Boppard and others, as well as Lorelei Rock. This morning enjoy a tour of 2,000 year-old Koblenz, located at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle rivers. After a morning of cruising arrive in Amsterdam, where you have a choice of touring activities. You might like to admire the city from a canal boat. Or perhaps visit the Van Gogh Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of his paintings, for an appreciation of the Dutch artist’s finest works.
