Our short early morning cruise brings us to Split, the capital of Dalmatia. The city developed around the palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian, and was built over 1700 years ago. Your optional tour includes a visit to the city of Trogir, situated on a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge. Visit Trogir's main attraction, the Cathedral of St. Lawrence before proceeding to the nearby Old Mill, or Pantan, for a light snack of smoked ham, cheese and olives, accompanied by Dalmatian music. Your tour continues with a walking tour of Split and a visit to Diocletian's Palace, the St Dulmus cathedral - a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site, the treasury, the Diocletian's cellars, and the Temple of Jupiter. Overnight at sea en route to Pula.
