Day 4 - Isafjordur

Isafjordur is the capital of the Westfjords region of Iceland, and for centuries it was a major centre of commerce and trading. Stroll around this charming town and marvel at the diverse architecture. Discover the country's oldest dwelling and timber houses built by wealthy foreign traders in the 18th century. Choose from optional excursions including horse riding and walking tours.

Day 5 - Hornbjarg Cliff - Reykjafjordur

Travel by Polarcirkel boats to the stunning Hornbjarg Cliff for a closer look at one of the greatest seabird habitats in Iceland. Later, there may be the opportunity to explore the stunning Reykjafjordur area.

Day 6 - Hrisey - Akureyri

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Hrisey, home to 40 species of birds including the ptarmigan. The lively town of Akureyri is close to many of Iceland’s most renowned beauty spots. Enjoy an optional hike or a trip to the breathtaking Godafoss waterfall.

Day 7 - Grímsey

Grímsey is well known for its proximity to the Arctic Circle, which cuts across the island. There will be the chance to step across that line, from North to South.

Day 8 - Husavik

Day 9 - Bakkagerdi - Seydisfjordur

Borgarfjörður is known as ‘the land of the elves’ and is home to many puffin colonies. Bakkagerdi is the main settlement and offers peace, quiet and impressive views. Perhaps enjoy an optional excursion to the natural forest of Hallormstadur. Later, head to Seydisfjordur, distinguished by its colourful Norwegian-style wooden houses. Explore this unique village, join a hike or take an optional trip out to Skalanes.

Day 10 - Djupivogur

Natural beauty surrounds Djupivogurd. At the Búlandsnes bird sanctuary you can observe most Icelandic birds nesting in their natural habitat and the spectacular Vatnajökull glacier is the largest in Europe.
