Begin by cruising east to the Falkland Islands, with its colonies of Rockhopper, King and Macaroni penguins. Explore South Georgia with its magnificent mountain scenery, glaciers and beaches teeming with a variety and density of wildlife that will overwhelm even the most blase visitors and includes one of the largest King penguin colonies in the world. Visit the South Orkney Islands before cruising into an enchanted world of ice-covered mountains and icebergs as the Fram approaches the bays and channels of the Antarctic Peninsula.
Antarctica is home to an array of extraordinary wildlife and the MS Fram's Polar Cirkle boats allow you to get closer than ever to these amazing creatures which include five species of seal, massive penguin rookeries with Gentoos, Chinstraps and Adelies as well as a variety of whale species and seabirds including petrels, albatross,shearwaters and skuas.
Cruise back to the South American mainland across the legendary Drake Passage; the sea between Cape Horn, Chile and the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica, named after the 16th century English sea captain, Sir Francis Drake.

Day 1 - Buenos Aires
Enjoy an overnight stay in Buenos Aires. Spend time at leisure or take the optional city tour.
Day 2 - Buenos Aires - Ushuaia
Leave Buenos Aires this morning and head to Ushuaia, arriving in the afternoon. Take an optional orientation tour of the city. You can also join an optional excursion to Tierra del Fuego National park. Embark MS Fram this afternoon.
Day 3 - At Sea
Acquaint yourself with the ship and your fellow travellers, follow our on board lecture series, enjoy the fresh air out on deck or simply relax in our panorama lounge as we make our way to the Falkland Islands.
Days 4-5 - The Falklands
Over 70 animal species can be found on the Falkland islands, including the black-browed albatross, Elephant seal and five different species of penguin. Explore the northwest part of the Falklands before heading to Stanley, the island's capital.
Days 6-7 - At Sea
On our way to South Georgia we will learn more about the history and the spectacular wildlife of the island known as the Serengeti of the Southern Ocean.
Days 8-10 - South Georgia
There is nowhere, in any latitude, quite like South Georgia. Magnificent mountain scenery with glaciers and beaches teeming with a variety and density of wildlife that will overwhelm even the most blase visitor. The largest King penguin colonies in the world are flanked by groups of fur and elephant seals. The history of South Georgia is evident - you will experience long-abandoned whaling stations and the poignant highlight for many a visitor, the grave of Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton. South Georgia offers a number of hiking options, including the last part of the route taken by Sir Earnest Shackleton.
Day 11 - At Sea
Today set sail for the southernmost continent learn more about this fascinating white land through educational lectures en route.
Day 12 - South Orkneys
Spend today exploring the deserted South Orkney Islands. Discovered in 1821 by American and British sealers the islands have served as a base ever since for Scottish, French and Argentine sealing and scientific expeditions.
Day 13 - At Sea
Cruise by the Washington Strait and Coronation Island before setting course towards Elephant Island and Antarctica
Days 14-17 - Antarctica
It is important to respect the pristine and fragile nature of Antarctica. On Deception Island, a portion of the caldera wall has collapsed and created an opening. It may be possible to go ashore to see the relics at Whalers Bay or join the expedition team for a guided tour. See the spectacular scenery of Half Moon Island. There may be the possibly of hiking to a view point to look for whales in the bay facing the Bransfield Strait. Brown Bluff is dominated by a towering rust-coloured bluff of volcanic origin.
Days 18-19 - Drake Passage
With our bow pointed north and a collection of unforgettable images and experiences in our memories, our sturdy MS Fram takes us safely back across the famous Drake Passage.
Day 20 - Ushuaia - Buenos Aires
After a spectacular voyage with countless impressions, we dock at the world's southernmost town once more before transferring you to Ushuaia airport for your charter flight to Buenos Aires.
